North Dalmatia

Northern Dalmatia is an area between the towns of Zadar and Sibenik in the north to the south. Coast is lined by fishing villages with a number of marinas (eg. Zaton, Sukošan, Biograd, Vodice).

Visitors can admire the limestone cliffs of Velebit Mountain, Paklenca national parks, Krka and Plitvice Lakes famously known.

This is an area rich in historical, mainly Romanesque monuments (many of them under the protection of UNESCO). Dalmatia offers good conditions for sports.

Zadar

A major port and main center of North Dalmatia with 75 thousand inhabitants. Due to the number of historical monuments and cultural events is a much sought tourist destinations.

Among the most famous monuments include the church St. Donat, St. Vitus Cathedral. Anastasia, and many more.
An interesting attraction is the sea organ or so. Salutation to the sun. Tourists also appreciate the markets with a large selection of fresh fish, fruit, vegetables, fine cheeses and olive oil.

Nin

Holiday near the sea

The historic town is located 14 km northwest from the administrative center of Zadar. It is one of the oldest cities of the Adriatic coast. In the past Nin became the seat of Croatian kings and princes. Nin sandy beaches rank among the best.

The old town is situated on an island connected to the mainland by two stone bridges from the 16th century.

Nearby is so called The Queen's Beach is a natural bath with curative mud. It is a place with rare endemic plant species. In Nin also mined salt traditional way. Visitors have the opportunity to local SOLANA view and purchase a variety of original souvenirs.
